Al-Shaibani: We Are Studying Joining the Mecca Alliance and Israel Launched One Thousand Attacks in Two Years

Al-Taj News – Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani announced, today, Saturday, that Damascus is studying the possibility of joining the Mecca Defensive Alliance, confirming the absence of any skirmishes with Jordan, and pointing out that Israel has launched more than one thousand attacks on his country in less than two years.

This came in a speech by Al-Shaibani during a session on the foundations of regional security, within the proceedings of the twenty-second session of the “Manama Dialogue 2026” conference.

The Syrian Foreign Minister said that “discussions are currently underway to assess Syria’s accession to the Mecca Alliance.”

Israeli Attacks
He also revealed that Syrian territory has been subjected to more than one thousand Israeli attacks in less than two years that claimed dozens of lives, continuing: “How can the demand for border control and the containment of weapons stand while Syrian sovereignty is violated and targeted on a daily basis?”
